This is the toughest of the Ten Rides due to the number of climbs riders face along this spectacular route.
Beginning from Montebelluna, this ride heads towards Cornuda, where the rolling hills surrounding Asolo, warm the legs in no time, in preparation for what is ahead!
The climb to the peak of Monte Grappa begins in Pederobba, where riders first face the "Monfenera"; 7 km of hairpin bends in the middle of the forest, with an average gradient of 8%.
Once that is over, a much milder climb leads to the second and yet toughest part which ascends rapidly from 800m ASL to 1300m ASL.
Approximately 30km in length, this ride leads to Cima Grappa (Grappa peak), 1800m ASL where one can explore the nationally recognised monument "Sacrario della Prima Guerra Mondiale", constructed in honour of the victims of the First World War.
One must not discount the natural beauty of this mountain ; be sure to admire the differing vegetation, ranging from green hills, thick forest and the brown mountain woods along this glorious and historical road.
Returning from we arrived, the descent from Cima Grappa is quick and 'fun' as you emerge into the valley below, enjoying the area surrounding Asolo just one more time!
